Tandem Catalysis of an Aldol-'Click' Reaction System within a Molecular Hydrogel.
A heterogeneous supramolecular catalytic system for multicomponent aldol-'click' reactions is reported. The copper(I) metallohydrogel functionalized with a phenyltriazole fragment was able to catalyze the multicomponent reaction between phenylacetylene, p-nitrobenzaldehyde, and an azide containing a ketone moiety, obtaining the corresponding aldol products in good yields. A possible mechanistic...
متن کاملA tandem non-aldol aldol Mukaiyama aldol reaction.
[reaction: see text] A new one-pot tandem aldol process is described in which a secondary epoxy silyl ether is converted into the 1,5-bis-silyloxy-3-alkanone in good yield. Thus, treatment of the epoxy silyl ether 8 with TBSOTf and base affords the silyl enol ether 9 via non-aldol aldol rearrangement and addition of benzaldehyde and TBSOTf gives the ketone 10 with 4:1 syn selectivity. The diast...
متن کاملA supramolecular hydrogel as a reusable heterogeneous catalyst for the direct aldol reaction.
An L-proline based supramolecular hydrogel is used as an efficient heterogeneous organocatalyst for the direct aldol reaction with high stereoselectivity (up to 90% ee) and recyclability (up to 3 runs). The reversible nature of this self-assembled supramolecular system allows for easy recovery and regeneration of the catalyst.
متن کاملChiral amine/chiral acid as an excellent organocatalytic system for the enantioselective tandem oxa-Michael-aldol reaction.
The asymmetric tandem oxa-Michael-aldol reaction of salicylic aldehyde derivatives with alpha,beta-unsaturated aldehydes catalyzed by a chiral amine/chiral acid organocatalytic system was investigated. The organocatalytic system of (S)-diphenylpyrrolinol trimethylsilyl ether with chiral shift reagent (S)-Mosher acid presented a synergistic effect in the improvement of reaction performance and o...
متن کاملA One-Pot Tandem Strategy in Catalytic Asymmetric Vinylogous Aldol Reaction of Homoallylic Alcohols.
Reported is a rationally-designed one-pot sequential strategy that allows homoallylic alcohols to be employed in a catalytic, asymmetric, direct vinylogous aldol reaction with a series of activated acyclic ketones, including trifluoromethyl ketones, γ-ketoesters, and α-keto phosphonates, in high yields (up to 95%) with excellent regio- and enantio-selectivity (up to 99% ee). This modular combin...
